Omaha Food Fest
WHAT: Omaha Food Fest will feature restaurants, pop-ups and other organizations showcasing the delicious plant-based dishes they currently offer or will create just for this occasion. While all food will be free of animal products (vegan), a unique feature of this food festival is that each vendor will have at least one dish that is whole food-plant based (no oil or other processed ingredients such as white flour and protein isolates.)
WHERE: Kroc Center, 2825 Y Street, Omaha, Nebraska. Free parking.
WHEN: September 27, 2025, beginning at 11am through 7pm. Come and go as you please.
WHY SHOULD I ATTEND: Taste a variety of different foods and plant-based dishes all in one location. There will also be food demos, practical info, and thought-provoking presentations.

Featured Guest at Food Fest

Author, recipe creator and blogger, Brandi Doming, will be at the Omaha Food Fest for a very special appearance. She is the creator of The Vegan 8 blog (thevegan8.com) and the author of both The Vegan 8 Cookbook and her newest release, Vegan Wholesome Cookbook. Brandi loves simplicity when it comes to cooking (as in 8 ingredients or less) and creates recipes that anybody can make, whether a novice in the kitchen or an experienced cook. She creates health-focused recipes, using whole foods to improve health, while maximizing flavor and texture, and teaches how to create healthy, balanced plant-based meals that everybody will love.
The Omaha Food Fest will feature “A Conversation with Brandi” where Brandi will share her secrets for creating simple, but delicious whole food plant-based dishes, share some of the health success stories she has witnessed, answer questions about her work and many other topics.
Brandi will also be personally signing copies of her books at the event.
